We are transparent about what we produce, how we produce it, and what it can and cannot legitimately be used for.
BankDocs produces replacement and novelty document files — PDFs formatted to match the layout, typography, and field structure of genuine documents issued by banks, HMRC, utility companies, and employers.
These documents are not issued by any bank, government department, utility company, or employer. They carry no official status and are not endorsed by any regulatory or government body. Every document we produce is for the purposes described in our Terms of Service.
Every document type we offer is based on research into the genuine formats issued by the relevant authority or institution. We study real examples of each document type to understand the correct layout, field names, typography, and structural conventions.
Each completed document is checked by a team member before delivery. We verify field placement, numerical consistency, date formatting, and overall layout accuracy. If we have made an error, we correct it at no additional charge.
Government and institutional document formats change over time. We update our templates when we become aware of format changes to HMRC forms, bank statement layouts, or other document types we cover.
Our documents are produced for legitimate purposes only. Acceptable uses include replacing a lost personal document where the original issuer is no longer able or willing to reissue it, props and set dressing for drama, film, and television production, sample data for software development and QA testing, training materials for payroll, HR, accountancy, or financial education, and personal archive or keepsake purposes.
Our documents must not be used to deceive any person, organisation, or institution. This includes presenting a document to a bank, lender, or financial institution as proof of income or identity, to a landlord or letting agent as proof of address, to an employer or recruiter as proof of employment history, to a government body as part of any application or compliance process, or to any third party for any purpose requiring a genuine, officially issued document.
Using a document we produce for any of the above purposes constitutes fraud and is a criminal offence. We take this seriously and reserve the right to decline or cancel any order where we believe it may be used for a prohibited purpose.
We do not describe our documents as "genuine", "official", or "authentic" anywhere on this website. We use terms such as "replacement", "novelty", and "reproduced" to accurately characterise what we produce.
We do not make claims about what our documents will be accepted for by third parties. We do not guarantee that any document we produce will satisfy the requirements of any specific institution, employer, or authority.
If a customer contacts us with a use case that falls outside our permitted uses, we will decline the order and explain why.
